Rhea Ripley has become one of WWE’s biggest stars, but a new detail sheds light on why she never signed with a talent agency—at least according to Nick LoPiccolo.
While speaking on BodySlam.net’s podcast with Famous Davis, LoPiccolo explained how he strategically built a list of WWE talent he wanted to represent after seeing new opportunities open up in the industry. He said he targeted a small group and successfully landed nearly all of them. But one name stood out as the exception—and not because he passed on her.
“I had a hit list of maybe seven people. I signed six of the seven. The only person I didn’t sign was Rhea, who I’ve heard does not want an agent and who just wants to kind of go home and do her thing and, you know, all respect to her, but everyone else I got.”
That’s a rare move in today’s wrestling landscape, where many top stars are actively expanding into outside ventures and working with representation to build opportunities beyond the ring. Ripley, at least based on what LoPiccolo says he was told, is taking a different approach—keeping things simple and focusing on her own path.
With Ripley continuing to dominate in WWE, her decision to avoid agency representation could say a lot about how she views her career and priorities moving forward.
Do you think Rhea Ripley is better off staying independent without an agent, or could she be missing out on bigger opportunities outside wrestling? Let us know your thoughts below.
