Vince Russo is sick of watching The Bloodline tear itself apart, and he believes WWE is sitting on a monster storyline that could turn the entire company upside down.
While discussing WWE’s handling of Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, The Usos and the rest of the Samoan family, Russo questioned why the group has spent years fighting each other instead of joining forces and taking over WWE.
Russo said the entire point of The Bloodline should be family members standing together, but WWE has repeatedly split them into rival sides and dragged the story through one internal war after another.
“The whole definition of The Bloodline is that blood is thicker than water. How many years is it going to take the Samoans to figure out that if we all band together and we’re on the same side, we could take over this place?”
The former WWE writer believes the answer is staring the company in the face. Instead of booking another battle between Bloodline members, Russo wants WWE to unite every major piece of the family and turn them into a takeover faction modeled after the nWo.
“It’s supposed to be The Bloodline, and all The Bloodline has been doing from day one is fighting within. That’s not what a bloodline is.”
Russo then laid out his pitch: bring Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and the rest of the family together and present them as an unstoppable army capable of running through the entire WWE roster.
“My God, bro, if it were me, bring every one of these guys together, do the whole nWo gimmick, and these guys are absolutely unstoppable.”
The nWo changed WCW by overwhelming the roster, recruiting major names and making every show feel like the company could be hijacked at any moment. Russo believes WWE could create that same danger with The Bloodline, especially with so many powerful personalities already connected through family. Instead, Russo said the story remains buried under confusing alliances and never-ending family drama, with Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa once again positioned against other members of the group.
“But Fatu, he’s fighting with Sikoa, and it’s so freaking confusing. Can we not just unite them, for crying out loud?”
A fully united Bloodline could give WWE one of the most loaded factions it has ever assembled. Roman Reigns would bring the star power, The Usos would control the tag team division, while Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu could destroy anyone standing in the group’s path.
Russo’s idea would also give WWE a chance to move beyond another round of Samoan family feuds. Rather than fighting over who gets to lead the family, The Bloodline could finally stand together and force the rest of WWE to figure out how to stop them.
Would an nWo-style Bloodline takeover be the biggest faction storyline WWE could pull off, or has the family already spent too much time fighting each other? Leave your feedback in the comments.
