Vince Russo and Jonathan Coachman think WWE might want to open the checkbook, because they believe they could fix a whole lot real fast.

While speaking on The Coach and Bro Show, Jonathan Coachman read a fan question asking how $3.5 million would sound if he became WWE RAW General Manager and Russo took over creative. Coachman did not exactly hesitate. He said if WWE actually made that offer, the discussion would not last very long.

“Whoa. I mean, Vince, I think I can confidently say if WWE walked up to us today and said 3.5 million, you’ll be the GM of Raw, Coach. Vince, you’ll be the head of creative. It would be a very short conversation.”

Vince Russo then took it even further, saying he believes he could save WWE that same money almost immediately because of his skills. Vince Russo was not joking about his confidence either. He said he knows he is right and claimed people inside WWE are being sold on the wrong ideas.

“I also believe that if they said, you know, here guys, here’s $3.5 million, I also guarantee you, Coach, I could save them that $3.5 million in one conversation. So, it would be a wash. In other words, it would cost them nothing.”

“Yes. I believe you are correct. I know I’m correct, bro. Somebody people are hoodwinking people over there and making them believe that it needs to be this and that’s not what it needs to be.”

Coachman then said WWE feels like it needs major changes, especially when someone has been in the same kind of position for so long.

“It feels like wholesale changes. Wholesale changes. And sometimes it’s not even about who’s there. When a person’s been in position for over 25 years, that’s just, to me, 10 years is what I felt like is the limit.”

Vince Russo agreed and said the business has changed, but some old-school ideas still work if they are mixed with evolution.

“And that’s a long time. And that’s a long time. It’s a long time. And if you’re not willing to admit the business is changing, but yet some things still work, and you got to evolve and you got to put them together. That’s what we do here on the show all the time.”

Coachman then stated that he would be a great GM and said WWE and AEW should both be trying to land them:

“I’m a great GM too. Let’s stop it. AEW and WWE should have a bidding war right now for me and you. A bidding war.”

So, Russo and Coachman were clearly having some fun with the idea, but they also seemed pretty serious about one thing: they believe WWE’s creative problems are fixable, and they think they know exactly how to do it. Whether WWE or AEW would ever actually enter a bidding war for Russo and Coachman is another story, but the two definitely made their pitch loud and clear.
