Vince Russo Calls Out WWE for Recycling the Same Bloodline Story Over and Over

Vince Russo is fed up with WWE going back to the same well with The Bloodline, and he thinks the company is basically recycling a storyline fans have already watched play out.

During his latest discussion on his podcast, Russo gave WWE some credit for at least trying to keep a story thread going, but that praise didn’t last long. His issue is that members of The Bloodline keep getting pushed out, spending a few weeks on the outside, and eventually getting pulled right back into the family. With Solo Sikoa now caught up in that cycle, Russo said WWE is simply repeating what it already did with Jacob Fatu.

“I’ll look for credit to give, and I’ll give the credit. Okay, there was some attempt at a storyline and a thread, but bro, how many times with The Bloodline are guys going to be on the outside against The Bloodline, then they’re back? So now we’re replaying the Solo story. We just did this with Fatu. We just did the same exact story.”

Russo said the problem goes beyond Solo and Fatu. He believes WWE has also leaned far too heavily on babyfaces who can’t get along while running the same revolving-door drama within The Bloodline.

“But bro, it just seems to me, you got the babyfaces on the one side who can’t get along, and I feel like we’ve been seeing that forever. And then on the other side, you got, okay, this guy is out of The Bloodline for the next three weeks. Pull him back in. This guy will be out for the next three weeks. Pull him back in. They just keep repeating and regurgitating the same shit.”

Russo’s point was simple: WWE has one of its biggest storylines sitting right in front of them, but constantly removing and reinserting family members isn’t moving things forward. He wants to see the company take a much bigger swing instead of reshuffling the same pieces every few weeks.

The Bloodline has been one of WWE’s longest-running stories, but Russo clearly believes the formula has reached the point where something major needs to change before fans feel like they’re watching the same chapter again.
