Val Venis isn’t just taking shots at AEW fans online anymore — he says he plans to show up outside Full Gear and confront them face-to-face.
The former WWE star fired off three posts announcing that he intends to be outside AEW Full Gear in Phoenix on November 14, where he wants to interview fans and challenge what he described as the “leftist” side of the audience.
Venis made his intentions pretty clear right out of the gate, saying he was stepping into something new and wanted to use the event to go after fans politically.
“Time for a step into something new. I am going to do some man on the street interviews with folks. Time to expose leftists for who they really are.”
He then zeroed in on AEW Full Gear and said that’s where he plans to take the whole thing.
“I will be interviewing AEW fans outside AEW Full Gear – Saturday, November 14, 2026 (4:00 PM) at Mortgage Matchup Center in downtown Phoenix.”
That wasn’t a one-off post either. Venis came back a few hours later and doubled down, saying he wants to compare what he called “rational AEW fans” to the “leftist ones.”
“Hitting the streets for some man-on-the-street interviews. Curious how rational AEW fans stack up against the leftist ones.”
He again listed the exact time and location and said he was looking for fans willing to debate him about real-world issues.
“Starting 👉 Outside AEW Full Gear: Saturday, November 14, 2026 (4:00 PM) at Mortgage Matchup Center, downtown Phoenix. Looking for fans ready to actually debate real issues.”
Then came a third post, where Venis made it clear he wants an audience for whatever happens outside the building. So yeah, Venis appears serious about pulling up on AEW fans outside Full Gear and putting them on the spot.
Whether he actually follows through remains to be seen, but three separate posts, an exact location, a start time and custom artwork promoting the whole thing make this look like more than another random social media rant.
It also fits right into Venis’ ongoing beef with AEW and its fan base. Venis has spent months ripping into AEW online, including mocking its fans, criticizing the promotion’s wrestling style and going after the company after discovering AEW’s official account had blocked him. Ringside News covered Venis mocking AEW fans, while he also blasted AEW as “video game wrestling” and later called out the company after finding out AEW had blocked him.
Now he appears ready to take that feud off X and directly to the fans walking into one of AEW’s biggest shows of the year. If Venis actually shows up on November 14, this could get awkward very fast. He isn’t advertising a meet-and-greet or a wrestling Q&A — he is openly saying he wants to challenge AEW fans, especially the ones he views as left-wing, and put those confrontations on a livestream.
