Val Venis is still taking shots at MJF, but apparently arguing about AEW isn’t enough anymore. This time, Venis went straight for MJF’s height and questioned whether the “Big” in his “Big Hebrew” nickname really belongs there.
The former WWE star took to Twitter and posted a photo of MJF’s wrestling boots, claiming the former AEW World Champion was wearing lifts to make himself appear taller. Then he went for the obvious joke.
“🤼♂️📢 Okay, when one has lifts like these and still appears barely 5’5″, I think the ‘Big’ in front of Hebrew is a little sus, don’t ya think?”
Venis is obviously doing some eyeball measuring here. There’s no confirmation that MJF was actually wearing lifts in the photo or that Venis’ guess about his height is accurate. Even then, that apparently wasn’t going to stop him from having some fun at MJF’s expense.
This comes after Venis recently went after MJF for claiming AEW had won back the “real wrestling fans.” MJF made the comment while discussing AEW’s success running Wembley Stadium multiple times and what he believes separates the company from its competition. Venis responded by trashing AEW’s entire wrestling style.
“AEW is video game wrestling—which AEW just lost $30 million on with the latest AEW game. Selling is almost nonexistent.”
Apparently, Venis wasn’t finished. The whole thing has now somehow turned into Venis inspecting MJF’s shoes and deciding the “Big Hebrew” isn’t quite big enough for his own nickname. MJF hasn’t responded to this shot yet, but if these two keep going at this rate, Venis might run out of things to criticize before MJF runs out of nicknames.
