Roman Reigns has plenty of critics, but The Undertaker clearly isn’t one of them.

During Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, the conversation turned to wrestlers who truly understand storytelling. Booker T brought up Roman Reigns as one of the top examples, and Undertaker had no problem giving The Tribal Chief his flowers.

“Roman Reigns is one of the best wrestlers that we’ve seen in the past couple of decades. I mean he really is as far as storytelling goes.”

Undertaker explained that Roman’s greatness isn’t just about how he looks in the ring. It’s about what he does for everyone standing across from him.

“And I say that because the bar has always been not how good you look, but how good you can make somebody else look. And when I watch Roman, no matter who’s he’s in the ring with, that person looks better than they’ve ever looked with anybody else.”

That is high praise coming from Undertaker, a man whose career was built on aura, timing, psychology, and making fans believe every second of what they were watching.

Roman’s Bloodline run changed the way a lot of fans look at long-form WWE storytelling. Undertaker clearly sees that, and he put Roman in rare air when talking about the best workers of the last twenty years.

The Deadman knows what works, and when he says Roman Reigns is one of the best storytellers of this generation, that isn’t some throwaway compliment.
