Trish Stratus believes one of the biggest turning points for women in WWE came when they were finally placed alongside top male stars instead of being treated like a separate attraction.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Stratus reflected on her career and explained how intergender storylines allowed female performers to become fully integrated into major angles — something she believes changed how fans viewed women in WWE. She pointed to moments where women were involved directly with top stars as a major turning point for the division.

“When you had like me, Triple H, Rock, and Lita in the main event… that elevated us obviously, but it also allowed the fans to interpret these characters differently and to understand if these guys are interacting, then you're on that level suddenly.”

Stratus explained that women were once treated like a separate attraction, but that began to change once they became part of major storylines with top names.

“Back then when you had the girls sort of like this separate sideshow as a division… when you started interacting with the main characters of the show, that changed everything.”

Looking back, Stratus said those moments created lasting memories and helped reshape how women were presented in WWE.

“The way we told the story together… it was magical. It was really great.”

Her comments reflect how much WWE’s presentation of women has evolved over time — and how those early integrations helped build what fans see today.
