Triple H is not being quiet about Oba Femi’s future in WWE, and he just gave the rising star a massive stamp of approval.
While speaking to Stephen A. Smith on his YouTube channel, Triple H discussed WWE’s next generation of talent and made it clear that Oba Femi is not just another young name coming through the system. He brought up the need for WWE to keep building the future as stars like John Cena and AJ Styles move toward the end of their in-ring careers. Triple H said WWE has to keep young stars ready underneath the current top names, and that is when he singled out Oba Femi in a huge way.
“You always have to be thinking about the future and Jerry is correct. It’s about hiring youth and putting youth around you and keeping yourself young in that sense as a brand as you see the John Cena’s retiring, AJ Styles retiring as you see some of these talent at the peak of their careers you have to have those young talent underneath them.”
Then Triple H made it very clear how high he is on Oba Femi but he did not stop there, either. He also named Solo Sikoa, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams as names WWE believes can carry the company forward, but the Oba Femi line stood out because that is about as strong as an endorsement gets from the man running WWE creative.
“And when you see this new crop of talent Obafemi is going to be as big as anybody has ever been in this business.”
“Solo Sikoa has an opportunity to be a standout star. Giovanni Evans is one of the young guys. He reminds me of a young Jeff Hardy that just has this incredible move set but just has an energy and a youth about him that you can’t look away from him.”
Triple H then said Trick Williams also has that same can’t-miss quality. Triple H wrapped that thought by saying these are the stars WWE fans will be watching headline the biggest shows in the company within the next few years.
“You know, Trick is just the personality plus that you know, again, he’s another guy you can’t look away from.”
“These are the young talent that are going to take WWE into the future. So, you know, you’re seeing them rise now but two three years from now, four years from now, these are going to be the main events of WrestleMania. I promise you.”
That is a monster statement from Triple H, especially when it comes to Oba Femi. WWE clearly sees him as a future centerpiece, and Triple H just told everyone to pay attention before the rest of the world catches up.
