Triple H had nothing but praise for Nick Khan, and he made it very clear how much he believes WWE’s President has helped shape the company’s future.
While speaking to Stephen A. Smith on his YouTube channel, Triple H opened up about his passion for WWE, his health issues being behind him, and why working with young talent keeps him motivated. That led him into talking about WWE President Nick Khan, who Triple H said has become a key partner behind the scenes. Triple H started by saying he loves being around WWE’s younger talent and that the job still gives him energy.
“It’s hard to put down because I love it. I love being around those kids. I love collaborating with them and helping them and sort of riffing ideas with them. It keeps you young, and it’s the greatest part of my job.”
Then Triple H brought up Nick Khan and made one of his strongest comments of the entire interview. Triple H said Khan’s value goes far beyond just numbers, rights fees and ratings. He explained that Khan grew up a fan of wrestling, boxing and combat sports, which makes him different from a typical executive.
“I’ve never been around a better businessman.”
“What is incredible out of him is not only his mind for the business, for, you know, rights fees and ratings and analyzing all those things, but he grew up a fan of this. He grew up a fan of boxing and combat sports, but especially of pro wrestling.”
Triple H also said Khan’s wrestling knowledge is deeper than many people realize. Then Triple H praised Khan’s direct approach and said he genuinely enjoys working with him every day.
“He’s as deep a knowledge as anybody I’ve met out there.”
“And he’s just straightforward. What you see is what you get. And man, I love working with him every day.”
Triple H said their partnership works because Khan brings the business side while both of them share a real love for WWE.
“So, to me, he and I together, it’s like this perfect partnership of being able to do the business side, but this energy that we both feel and have and love for this business like nothing else.”
Stephen A. Smith also jumped in with his own praise, revealing that Nick Khan used to be his agent and saying WWE is in tremendous hands because of him.
“If there’s anybody that’s gifted at helping people find out their why, it is a Nick Khan, which is why the WWE is in tremendous hands. Make no mistake about it.”
Triple H and Nick Khan are clearly locked in behind the scenes, and Triple H is not hiding how much respect he has for the man helping steer WWE’s business empire.
