Jade Cargill has taken some rough shots in WWE, but one bloody injury was bad enough that Triple H had to step in and tell her she needed plastic surgery.

While speaking on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, Jade looked back on the brutal spot where she hit the steel stairs and busted her face open. She said the stairs were actually supposed to move, but they didn’t, and that changed everything.

“The moment was so surreal because those stairs were supposed to move. So they were supposed to move when I hit it and that’s why it happened the way it happened.”

Jade said she did not realize how bad it was at first. She had been busted open before, so when she first saw blood, she thought it was manageable. Then she looked down and realized this was not normal.

“I didn’t know it was so bad because I remember in Japan Dakota hit me and I was bust open a little bit on my forehead and I was bleeding out a lot and I actually thought it was her cuz it was on her and it was me. But so when I hit it and I seen a little blood, I was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ Cuz your head bleed more than normal. So I’m like, ‘Okay, all right.’”

“But I mean, like I looked down and you could look at the video and a whole stream of blood just poured into my hand.”

Even then, Jade said her mind went somewhere completely different. She was worried about her white wig, a friend’s birthday, and going to church the next day. Jade said the referee warned her that she was bleeding, but she still did not think it was that serious until the entire arena reacted.

“But all I was thinking was like, ‘Dang.’ Because I have a white wig. So I was like, ‘Oh man, my girl’s 40th birthday is tomorrow. I’m supposed to be going to church.’ So I’m like, ‘Dang.’ Like I guess I got to figure out how I’m going to clean this out of my head.”

“Daff was like, ‘You are bleeding.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, well, it’s probably not that bad. Like, it’s fine.’ And then in unison, the entire arena was like just gasp.”

She said the fans’ reaction told her everything she needed to know. Jade said the referee considered throwing up the X to stop the match, but Jade shut that down because she still had one more thing to do.

“So I was just like, ‘Okay, this must be really, really bad cuz I can’t see it. Everybody is seeing it. I can’t see it.’”

“Daff came over was like, ‘I’m about to throw up the X.’ And I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, no. I’m good. I got one more thing to do. We good. We good. We good. We good.’”

Cargill finished what she had to finish, but when she got backstage, Triple H made it clear this was not just a little cut. That is when Jade knew the injury was serious.

“And then we got to the back and Triple H said, ‘Uh, yeah, we gonna have to see a plastic surgery.’”

“And I was like, ‘Whoa, for you to say that, for you to say that must be bad because he’s seen so much, right?’”

Jade said she finally looked in the mirror, and Kevin Owens was there reacting to the damage. Even then, Jade said she stayed calm. Her main thought was that she was married, and her husband better not leave her over a scar.

“And then I looked in the mirror and KO was there. He’s like, ‘Oh, dang.’ Like, ‘Let me get this this picture.’ And I looked in the mirror and I just like had my hand over my mouth like, ‘Oh my gosh, like this is really happening.’”

“Everybody’s like, ‘How are you so calm?’ Cuz I was calm. And I was like, you know, I’m married. Like, it’s all good. He better not leave me over some scar on my face. Like, it’s all good. That’s all I was thinking.”

The injury kept bleeding through the night because the plastic surgeon was not in right away.

“All night because the plastic surgeon wasn’t in that night, I was just bleeding out all night long. So, it was I would wake up like in an hour and blood was just poured all on my face.”

Jade said the surgeon did a great job, and now she barely sees the scar as a problem. Later, Jade gave even more detail about how nasty the cut really was.

“It worked out. I mean, the plastic surgeon I went to did a phenomenal job. You can barely see it. And if anything, it’s a conversational piece at airports and stuff.”

“My brow was like crooked, y’all. Like the doctor had to go. It was three layers deep. I don’t know how many stitches I had to get. Everybody asked that. I don’t know. But it was three layers deep.”

She said doctors had to cut skin to make the wound straight. Jade also said Triple H wanted cameras off her after seeing how bad the cut was backstage.

“It was so crooked they had to cut my skin off to make it straight. So a whole part of my brow is off from that whole incident.”

“From what I was told was Triple H backstage was like, ‘Get it off her. Get the camera off her.’”

Jade Cargill wanted blood in WWE, and she got more than she ever expected. The stairs did not move, her face got split open, Triple H sent her toward plastic surgery, and she still found a way to turn the scar into part of the act.
