Trick Williams may no longer be WWE United States Champion, but he already has another possibility sitting in the back of his mind — and it involves the Money in the Bank briefcase.
During a conversation with SHAK Wrestling, Williams was asked what could be next for him after Baron Corbin ended his United States Championship reign at SummerSlam. Trick didn’t commit to one specific direction, bringing up CM Punk, Corbin and Money in the Bank while making it clear he has several options in front of him.
“Shaq, I like the way you’ve been doing the research. I mean, you brought up CM Punk. We haven’t talked about Money in the Bank yet, but who knows? Baron Corbin is still there talking his trash, thinking that he deserves that title, but I see he hasn’t taken the fur off of the title yet. He still wants the fur because the truth is Baron Corbin has a head full of missing hair on it. So, he wants the fur and the hair off my title to replace all the hair that he’s missing on his head. Who knows what way Trick Williams decides to go from this, but whatever it is, it’s gonna be a big deal.”
Williams was asked how good the Money in the Bank briefcase would look covered in his trademark fur and whether he had already started thinking about a design. That’s when Trick revealed that the idea has actually been on his mind for weeks.
“Yeah, I’ve been thinking about nothing other than this for the past couple weeks. And then New Orleans, of all cities, man. What a beautiful city, full of good food to win a briefcase. So, let’s see what happens.”
Williams stopped short of saying he will be competing for the Money in the Bank briefcase, but he clearly isn’t ignoring the possibility. The fact that he has already spent weeks thinking about what the briefcase could look like with his personal touch makes it clear the idea has crossed his mind more than once.
