Tony Khan has issued a personal statement following PAC’s death at 40. The AEW president paid tribute to Benjamin Satterley with a message recognizing both his wrestling career and the people who knew him as a husband and friend.
Taking to Twitter Sunday night after AEW announced PAC’s passing, Khan said Satterley “defined excellence.” He praised his athleticism, professionalism and commitment to a sport that took him around the world.
Khan’s statement began with Satterley’s loved ones before turning to the performances fans knew him for. He singled out the consistency and dedication behind PAC’s work, alongside the athletic ability that made him such a distinctive wrestler.
“Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace.”
PAC had been part of Khan’s company since 2019, winning the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Championship and the World Trios Championship with Death Triangle. His run also included major matches against Kenny Omega and other leading names on the roster.
Khan did not reveal a cause of death or announce memorial plans in his statement. His message stayed focused on remembering Satterley and ended with a brief farewell: “May Ben rest in peace.” For Khan, the goodbye extended beyond PAC’s name on a match card. His statement honored Ben’s relationships, his work and the dedication he brought to wrestling, as the company mourns his passing.
