AEW may be getting even bigger in 2026, because Tony Khan is now openly talking about adding another pay-per-view to the company’s calendar.

Back in April, Andrew Zarian reported that AEW was planning a new July pay-per-view called Redemption. Now, ahead of Double or Nothing weekend, Khan addressed the possibility during AEW’s media call and made it clear he is seriously interested in expanding the schedule. Khan stopped short of officially confirming the Redemption name, but he admitted adding a July event is something AEW is actively considering.

“I take a lot of pride in the quality of the AEW PPV shows and think we bat a very high average.”

Khan explained that he would only add another major event if he believed it would genuinely help the company instead of watering down the product.

“I would only explore adding additional AEW PPV events to the calendar if I feel they are going to be additive. I think there are opportunities.”

He also called the idea of a July pay-per-view “very lucrative and very additive,” making it clear the company sees strong business potential in expanding beyond its current lineup. If AEW officially adds the new event, it would push the company to ten yearly pay-per-views for the first time ever.

AEW originally launched with only three pay-per-views in 2019 before slowly increasing the schedule over the years. The company ran four in both 2020 and 2021, five in 2022, eight in 2023 and nine in both 2024 and 2025.

With Double or Nothing taking place this weekend, fans are already wondering if AEW could officially announce the rumored Redemption event during the pay-per-view itself.

Tony Khan clearly believes AEW’s pay-per-view business is stronger than ever, and now it sounds like the company may be preparing to expand again in a big way.
