Tommy Dreamer’s TNA exit was already messy, but Carlie Bravo just added another twist by deleting his posts about the situation.Dreamer parted ways with TNA on June 17 after years working behind the scenes in creative, talent relations, production, and scouting. Once he was gone, Bravo aired out his own experience with Dreamer and claimed he was told he had talent, but still was not someone Dreamer wanted to hire.
“He told me I was very talented but couldn’t hire me cuz ‘he didn’t know if he could market ‘cocky black guy’ to the world’. Needless to say, I’m on top of the game and never changed one bit. Run it up. Fuck what anybody else says.”
That was a heavy accusation, especially with Dreamer fresh out of TNA. Bravo has since appeared on ROH and AEW programming as part of Shane Taylor Promotions, so he clearly found his lane without changing who he was.
Referee Perch also had his own issue with Dreamer, claiming Dreamer once pulled him aside backstage at a TNA show and tried to discourage him from getting into the wrestling business.
“Tommy Dreamer pulled me aside backstage at a TNA show, telling me he would do everything he could to make sure I don’t earn a job in the wrestling business. All I did was try to learn and grow from experiences, though his words were very discouraging for a young student to hear.”
Bravo’s posts are now gone. He deleted them after they started getting attention, and as of this writing, he has not explained why.
Dreamer has not publicly responded to Bravo or Perch’s accusations. Deleting the posts does not prove Bravo was wrong, and it does not prove Dreamer did anything either, but it does make the timing look even stranger.
