TNA isn’t leaving its creative room on autopilot after Tommy Dreamer’s exit. The company already had Delirious lined up as a key voice, but now it sounds like he won’t be running the show solo.

According to PWInsider, Eric Tompkins, TNA’s Vice President of TV Production, will now work directly with Hunter “Delirious” Johnston on creative. One person even described the setup as the two acting like co-heads of creative.

“With the departure of Tommy Dreamer, Eric Tompkins, who is Vice President of TV Production will be working hand in hand in Hunter “Delirious’ Johnston on creative. One person described it to me as they would be co-heads of creative but I don’t have that 100% confirmed. There’s been buzz about others being brought onto the team making the rounds but within TNA, so far, we are told nothing has been put into place in that regard.”

That’s a pretty big update, because the early word after Dreamer’s departure was that Delirious would become the main creative voice. Now, TNA appears to be splitting that responsibility between Delirious and Tompkins as the company moves toward Slammiversary.

There has also been talk about other names possibly joining the creative team, including Road Dogg after his WWE exit earlier this year. But for now, nothing has actually been put into place inside TNA on that front.

Dreamer’s exit was no small backstage move. He had been head of creative while also handling talent relations, production-related work, and other day-to-day responsibilities. So, TNA had to move quickly, and pairing Delirious with Tompkins seems to be the current answer.

Bottom line, TNA’s creative future is not just Delirious taking the wheel by himself. Tompkins is now expected to be right there with him, and unless something changes, any outside additions are still just talk.

Do you think TNA made the right call with Delirious and Eric Tompkins leading creative after Tommy Dreamer’s exit? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
