Conor McGregor’s one-word response to Roman Reigns may not have been the insult many fans believed it was.

According to Fightful Select, sources within TKO told Sean Ross Sapp that McGregor was well aware of who Roman Reigns is when he replied “Who?” to the WWE star’s White House post. Instead, those sources believe the former UFC champion was simply promoting “corporate synergy” in his own unique way. That backstage belief puts a different spin on one of the week’s biggest crossover moments.

It all started after TKO shared a photo of Reigns attending UFC Freedom 250 at the White House. The OTC reposted the image with his signature finger-point emoji: “The OTC at The White House ☝ #UFCWhiteHouse.” McGregor then jumped into the replies with a single word: “Who?”

The comment immediately took off online, with many fans interpreting it as McGregor mocking WWE’s biggest star or pretending not to know who he was. Given the pair’s history—and McGregor’s previous online exchanges with Paul Heyman, including teasing an appearance at SummerSlam—the response only fueled more speculation.

Whether fans saw it as a genuine shot or clever trolling, McGregor accomplished one thing: he turned a simple Roman Reigns social media post into one of the weekend’s most talked-about interactions.

Do you think Conor McGregor was genuinely trolling Roman Reigns, or was this simply a playful way of promoting WWE and UFC together? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
