WWE has added some championship stakes to tonight’s SmackDown, and now the actual title match is set. Ahead of the October 16 show, WWE announced that Rey Fenix will defend the AAA Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints.

Fenix putting the AAA Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Saints gives tonight’s show another major in-ring attraction. Saints now gets a chance to walk out of SmackDown with championship gold, while Fenix will try to keep his title reign intact.

The match joins a lineup that already includes Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton coming face-to-face, Nikki Bella taking on Paige, and R-Truth finally getting his hands on Damian Priest.

Cody Rhodes specifically asked SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to put Randy Orton in front of him after everything that has happened between the two. Aldis granted the request, setting up what could be one of the most important segments of the night.

Nikki Bella and Paige will also run it back after Nikki defeated Paige in their September 11 meeting. Paige has continued pushing for another shot, while Nikki has started looking toward bigger opportunities of her own.

R-Truth will also face Damian Priest after Priest turned on Truth during WWE’s trip to Mexico City. Their issues have only gotten worse since then, and tonight finally gives Truth a chance to settle things inside the ring.
