Thunder Rosa is officially leaving Busted Open after four years behind the microphone.
The AEW star confirmed the news Friday, ending speculation about her status after she was left out of the announcements surrounding WWE Radio’s launch on SiriusXM. Rosa said the show gave her a platform to represent AEW, connect with wrestling fans and speak openly about the business. She also thanked Tony Khan for allowing her to take on that role.
“After four unforgettable years, it’s time to turn the page. Some chapters in life change you forever, and this has been one of them.”
“Being part of Busted Open has been so much more than sitting behind a microphone. It gave me the opportunity to share my perspective, connect with wrestling fans around the world and celebrate the sport that has given me so much.”
“I’m especially grateful to Tony Khan for believing in me, trusting me to represent AEW and allowing me to contribute my voice to one of the most respected wrestling shows in our industry.”
Rosa also thanked Dave LaGreca, Tommy Dreamer, Bully Ray, Mark Henry, the show’s producers and the fans who followed her run, including those who challenged her opinions.
“Thank you for welcoming me, challenging me, inspiring me and making me feel like family. Every conversation made me better, and every show reminded me why I love this business.”

Her exit comes as WWE takes over a larger portion of SiriusXM’s wrestling programming through WWE Radio. Rosa was not included in any of the new lineup announcements, and people close to the situation believed she would no longer be part of Busted Open.
Now there is no more guessing. Rosa is out, and her departure could be the clearest sign yet that AEW talent may no longer have a place on SiriusXM’s wrestling lineup under the new WWE partnership.
