Thunder Rosa has made it clear she’d love to be featured more on AEW television. Now she’s revealed there’s one goal she still isn’t ready to give up on, even if she admits getting there won’t be easy.
Earlier this month, Rosa said she wished she was appearing on AEW TV more often and explained that she’s been staying busy in CMLL instead of sitting around waiting for opportunities. Speaking on the Wrestleholics Podcast, she expanded on what’s still left on her wrestling bucket list, and another AEW Women’s World Championship reign sits right near the top.
Rosa first joked that becoming a millionaire is one of her biggest ambitions before explaining she’s working toward financial security by expanding beyond wrestling. She revealed she’s opening a new hair salon, but admitted there’s still one accomplishment inside the ring she hasn’t stopped chasing.
“Yeah, baby. I want to be a millionaire so bad. I’m sorry. Just kidding. But not kidding. I definitely want to achieve a level of financial stability in my career. That’s why I’m opening other businesses to have diversity in my career. I’m a professional wrestler. I was a promoter before. Now I’m going to be a business owner. We’re opening a hair salon in the next couple weeks called La Rosa Beauty Collective.”
Even with those business plans taking shape, Rosa said winning the AEW Women’s World Championship again remains one of her biggest goals. She admitted that dream feels difficult right now, especially with Mercedes Moné holding the title and the spotlight surrounding the current championship picture.
“I definitely would like another opportunity to become the AEW Women’s World Champion. I know right now it seems almost impossible and sometimes unattainable because Mercedes Moné has that title and other people are focused on that.”
Rosa hasn’t given up hope, though. She believes another opportunity will eventually come around, and when it does, she wants to make the most of it after falling short in previous attempts.
“Hopefully I get an opportunity to go and get that back because I feel like although I have had chances to do it, I have been very short on my ability to do it.”
Rosa has kept herself busy outside of AEW with CMLL appearances and now a growing list of business ventures, but it’s obvious her championship ambitions haven’t changed. No matter how crowded the women’s division becomes, she’s still waiting for one more shot to reclaim the title she once held.
