4. A. J. Styles
Taz mentions that A.J. Styles had another standout year in 2017, and he ended the year as WWE Champion. Styles always delivers in big matches, and he proved that again this year through quality matches with Shane McMahon, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar. Taz points out that Styles was the glue that held those three matches together.
3. Asuka
Taz is very impressed by Asuka, and her unbeaten streak is still holding fast as we enter 2018. He mentions that when Asuka works in the ring, it looks like she’s shooting on her opponent but she’s obviously not. She has the combination of looking smooth and stiff at the same time and it takes an incredible worker to pull this off.
He notes that Asuka is limited on the mic, but she’s still been able to get over to a North American audience by talking rarely and relying heavily on her convincing offence in the ring.
