Block 4:

Taz agrees and says that when the XFL failed, the wrestlers felt that financially. Taz was still wrestling for WWE at the time, and he and all the other wrestlers were told that their pay might be affected by the XFL’s demise. That certainly turned out to be true. Johnson adds that at one point just before the beginning of the Monday Night Wars, McMahon cut his executives’ salaries in half.

A listener calls into the show and asks Taz for his opinion on sexual relationships within professional wrestling storylines. Taz says this is a very interesting topic, but for the most part he’s not a fan of it. He thinks, especially for the spouses of Superstars, they didn’t sign up for that type of thing. He knows that his wife in particular would not have been comfortable with him being involved in an intimate relationship on WWE programming. He just doesn’t think there’s a real need for it.

That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
