Taya Valkyrie is stepping out of the wrestling ring and straight into a game built around lying, betrayal and survival.
Bell Media announced on September 9, 2026, that the AEW star will be part of the cast for Season 4 of “The Traitors Canada.” Valkyrie is one of 22 players heading into the competition, with Bell Media listing her as “Taya,” from Los Angeles, and identifying her occupation as an AEW professional wrestler.
The new season premieres September 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, with extended versions of each episode streaming the following day on Crave. Karine Vanasse returns as host as the players enter a historic manor outside Montréal and attempt to build a prize pot worth as much as $100,000. The catch is that a handful of players have secretly been selected as Traitors and will eliminate the Faithful one by one while trying to avoid being exposed at the roundtable. Bell Media teased exactly what is waiting for Taya and the rest of the cast when the season begins.
“The daggers are out as the Canadian Screen Award-winning original competition series, THE TRAITORS CANADA, returns for its fourth season, Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, beginning September 21, with extended cuts streaming next day on Crave.”
The premiere, titled “The Spark,” will waste no time putting the cast in danger. Bell Media says the 22 guests arrive ready to play, but not everyone will even get the chance to enter the manor before the Traitors are given their first murder.
Taya isn’t the first wrestler to enter “The Traitors” franchise. WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella competed on Season 3 of the U.S. version, while TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim previously appeared on “The Traitors Canada.” Independent wrestler Simone Williams also competed during the second season of “The Traitors Australia.”
Taya has spent years dealing with alliances, betrayals and people trying to take her out in wrestling, so “The Traitors Canada” may be a pretty natural fit. The difference this time is that a clothesline won’t help her figure out who is lying across the roundtable.
