The July 17 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York. It was a lot of fun to watch the company round the corner before Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden, but next week’s episode will be focused on SummerSlam.
The July 24 episode of WWE SmackDown will go down at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California. They are getting even closer to SummerSlam, and the company is still going strong.
Charlotte Flair helped Jade Cargill advance to the SummerSlam ladder match after The Queen attacked The Storm. That upset Nia Jax a lot, and she demanded another shot at SummerSlam. So, Flair will face Jax next week with a spot in the ladder match on the line.
Since Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill are already in the SummerSlam ladder match, they will keep a close eye on whoever may join them in that match. Also, Blake Monroe may just continue her backstage attack spree, as she did with Candice LeRae this week. So, you never know how the former Mariah May may play into SummerSlam plans.
Fans will also know if SummerSlam’s match for the Undisputed WWE Championship will be a fatal four-way. The fallout after Saturday Night’s Main Event will be big, and fans will likely hear from CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, and GUNTHER in some form or fashion next week.
