“Stone Cold” Steve Austin isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The WWE Hall of Famer has officially wrapped up his first season of off-road racing, and he’s already making plans to get back behind the wheel in 2027.

Austin has spent much of 2026 competing with the Valley Off-Road Racing Association (VORRA) in Nevada under his Broken Skull Racing team. His final race of the season took place on October 24 at Monster Dash 2026, where he qualified well and got off to a strong start before failing to finish the second moto. On October 28, 2026, Austin took to social media to reflect on his first year of racing and confirm that he’s returning for another season.

“The 2026 Broken Skull Racing season is over. We compete in Stock Mod division, and will stay there again for 2027 season. Thanks to @valleyoffroadracingassociation for the great races this year. We will run the VORRA schedule next year and will also hit KOH, Mint, V2R. Thanks to our sponsors for all the help.”

Austin drives a Kawasaki race car carrying the number 316, a reference to his famous Austin 3:16 catchphrase from his WWE career. His first season actually got off to a strong start. Austin won the Stock Mod category in his first two races, but things became more difficult as the year continued.

During August’s Stomping Grounds 300, Austin made a mistake that knocked him out of the race and left his vehicle with what he described as “pretty good damage.” His final race in October also ended early, but that hasn’t changed his plans. Austin has made it clear that off-road racing is more than just something he does in his spare time. He’s put serious effort into building Broken Skull Racing and plans to expand his schedule next year with additional events beyond VORRA.

While wrestling fans last saw Austin make an appearance at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, where he announced the second night’s attendance, much of his attention these days has been on racing in Nevada. Austin might be retired from wrestling, but he’s found another way to compete. With two early wins under his belt and a full racing schedule planned for 2027, the Texas Rattlesnake isn’t finished chasing victories.
