WWE apparently has its opening segment picked out for tonight’s Monday Night RAW, and it looks like Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn will be getting things started.

According to Viper Reports, the early rundown for the October 19 episode has Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn and World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns scheduled to open the show with their face-to-face confrontation ahead of Crown Jewel. Of course, this is only the early rundown, so WWE could still switch things up before RAW goes live.

Reigns and Zayn are set to face each other at Crown Jewel with the 2026 Men’s Crown Jewel Championship on the line. Reigns is coming off his win over LA Knight at Money in the Bank, and now he’s turning his attention to Zayn.

The two have plenty of history from their days in The Bloodline, so WWE doesn’t exactly need to work hard to give fans a reason to care about this confrontation. Reigns also has the 946 faction to worry about, especially now that Carmelo Hayes has joined the group. As Ringside News previously covered, tonight’s RAW will also feature Penta taking on Bron Breakker and Joe Hendry facing JD McDonagh.

The October 19 episode of RAW takes place at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California, and will air live on Netflix starting at 8 PM ET. Ringside News will have live coverage throughout the show.

For now, Reigns and Zayn are penciled in to open RAW, but that could change before the cameras start rolling. Either way, WWE has a major confrontation planned between its two world champions just days before Crown Jewel.

Do you think Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn should kick off tonight’s RAW, or would you rather see them close the show? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
