WWE apparently has its main event picked out for tonight’s Monday Night RAW, and Penta will be getting a chance to settle some business with Bron Breakker.
According to the early rundown via Viper Reports for the October 19 episode, Penta vs. World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker is currently scheduled to close the show from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. Of course, this is only the early rundown, so WWE could still change things around before RAW goes live tonight.
The match comes after Breakker attacked Je’Von Evans on last week’s RAW, hitting him with a spear while Evans was already dealing with injuries from his brutal fall through the roof of an ambulance during the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Penta wasn’t about to let that slide, and now he’s getting Breakker one-on-one. As Ringside News previously covered, WWE added the match to tonight’s lineup following what happened to Evans.
There’s another interesting wrinkle here too. Penta is currently holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, while Breakker is one-half of the World Tag Team Champions. Penta has a guaranteed world championship opportunity waiting whenever he decides to cash in, but tonight he’s got Breakker standing in his way.
The show will also feature Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn coming face-to-face ahead of their Crown Jewel match, along with Joe Hendry taking on JD McDonagh. Monday Night RAW airs live on Netflix beginning at 8 PM ET, and Ringside News will have live coverage throughout the night.
For now, Penta and Breakker are penciled in to close RAW, although WWE could still shuffle the lineup before showtime. If the match stays in the main event spot, Penta will have the final opportunity of the night to make Breakker pay for what he did to Evans.
What do you think about WWE planning to close RAW with Penta vs. Bron Breakker? Do you expect Penta to get his revenge, or will Breakker walk away with another win? Let us know in the comments below.
