Shotzi’s surprise appearance at TNA’s post-Bound For Glory tapings wasn’t just a one-off after all. After days of speculation about whether she was simply making a guest appearance, the former WWE star has officially found her new home.
According to Fightful Select, Shotzi has now signed with TNA Wrestling. Sean Ross Sapp and Fightful Select both confirmed the deal, ending the uncertainty surrounding her status after she showed up at the company’s television tapings in Dothan, Alabama.
The signing comes just over a week after Shotzi became a free agent. Her contract with MLW expired on October 5, allowing her to explore other opportunities, and it didn’t take long before she resurfaced in TNA. Her surprise appearance immediately led to speculation that something more permanent could be in the works, and that has now turned out to be the case.
Before becoming available, Shotzi enjoyed a successful run in MLW, where she captured the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship and held the title for 217 days. Despite her departure, we had previously reported that MLW had nothing but positive things to say about working with her and hoped to collaborate again in the future if schedules lined up.
Her move to TNA also marks a return of sorts. Long before signing with WWE, Shotzi wrestled for Impact Wrestling in 2018 and 2019, making the company familiar territory rather than an entirely new destination.
Now, the speculation is over. After wrapping up her MLW run earlier this month and making a surprise return at the post-Bound For Glory tapings, Shotzi has officially signed with TNA and begins the next chapter of her wrestling career.
