Shelton Benjamin is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling. During the earlier years of Kurt Angle’s career, Angle teamed up with Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin and were together known as Team Angle. It seems Benjamin wants to team up with Charlie Haas again.
Team Angle formed in 2002 and would break up in 2003 after losing the WWE Tag Team Championships. Benjamin and Charlie Haas were known as the World’s Greatest Tag Team and they certainly worked hard to live up to that name.
While speaking with Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc, Shelton Benjamin made it clear that he would love to have another run as a tag team with Charlie Haas.
“Of course. Charlie is one of my best friends; he’s one of my brothers. While he disappeared from the public eye, me and him have always been in contact and have been very, very close. So the desire to be able to work together again, of course, that has never gone away. So if the opportunity presents itself, I would love to team with Charlie again, and you know, wreck shop and be the World’s Greatest Tag Team again and take on the world.”
Shelton Benjamin was also bummed that he wasn’t in the Royal Rumble this year. Benjamin has largely been underutilized by WWE, which is something many fans would agree with. We wonder if WWE will ever decide to give him a push or not.
