Shelton Benjamin Bummed He Wasn’t In The Royal Rumble Match

This year’s edition of the Royal Rumble was a very mixed bag for many fans. The most enticing aspect of this year’s edition of the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches was the likelihood of the Forbidden Door getting kicked in. Unfortunately, it was to no avail.

The Men’s Royal Rumble match had a lot of promise for many fans but it ultimately ended up disappointing everyone as it lacked any true surprise entrants. For most fans, the most surprising entry was Drew McIntyre if you don’t count Brock Lesnar.

Shelton Benjamin took to Instagram and uploaded photos of himself along with Rhea Ripley, Kurt Angle and Booker T. Benjamin revealed that he was bummed about not being in the Royal Rumble match.

I’m bummed I didn’t get to compete the the Royal Rumble. However I did get a photo with @rhearipley_wwe & two Hall of famers @bookertfivex & @therealkurtangle so I’m calling it a Win! It’s true it’s true it’s true it’s true it’s true, it’s a trap 

Shelton Benjamin has largely been underutilized by WWE, which is something many fans would agree with. We wonder if WWE will ever decide to give him a push or not.
