Shelton Benjamin finally has proof that he wasn’t secretly dating Michin, and naturally, he’s using the moment to roast her all over again. After Michin went Instagram official with her new boyfriend, Benjamin wasted no time reminding everyone that the dating rumors about the two of them were always ridiculous.
Benjamin took to Twitter after Michin shared photos with her new man, including shots of the couple kissing. Instead of simply congratulating his longtime friend, Benjamin celebrated being proven right before immediately getting back to his usual role as her “biggest hater.”
“Told y’all it was never me. She literally hid him in plain sight. I am & will forever be @MiaYim biggest hater just as a big brother should be. Also he kissed her, Disgusting!”
The reaction fits perfectly with the relationship Benjamin and Michin have shown fans for years. Benjamin considers her a sister, and much of their friendship on social media involves the two constantly roasting each other rather than saying anything particularly nice.
That somehow became a problem back in August when Benjamin posted photos of himself hanging out with Michin in Las Vegas. His caption was another joke at her expense, but some people apparently took the pictures as evidence that the two were romantically involved. Benjamin wasn’t amused when he started seeing those comments. He quickly shut the rumors down and made his feelings about the idea pretty clear.
“Me reading IG comments from people believing @MiaYim and I are dating, Y’all so stupid….and gross.”
Michin also pushed back on the speculation at the time, arguing that people shouldn’t automatically assume a man and woman are dating simply because they’re close friends. She called that way of thinking immature and insecure.
Now everyone knows who Michin is actually dating. She recently went public with her relationship by sharing several romantic photos with her boyfriend, including kissing shots, while wishing him a happy birthday.

Michin hasn’t revealed how long the relationship has been going on or how the two met, but Benjamin clearly couldn’t resist having some fun after months of people linking him to her. Even with a boyfriend now officially in the picture, it sounds like Benjamin has no plans to give up his self-appointed job as Michin’s annoying big brother.
