Sheamus looks like he’s getting closer to a WWE return, as the Celtic Warrior was just spotted training at the WWE Performance Center during his injury absence.
Sheamus took to Instagram and uploaded photos of himself at the WWE Performance Center, where he was seen training with several NXT stars as he continues working his way back from injury. The photos included Sheamus alongside Myles Borne and Hank & Tank.
Sheamus also showed the aftermath of the session, as his back had visible welts from training. Judging by the photos, he wasn’t just stopping by for a casual visit either — he was clearly getting physical as part of his in-ring comeback process.
This comes after Sheamus previously confirmed he underwent shoulder surgery on December 30 and has been rehabbing ever since. He admitted he was dying to get back in the ring, but did not give a clear return timetable at the time.
“Yeah, this one has been difficult. It kind of came out of nowhere. I started noticing my shoulder around May-June at Clash in Paris against Rusev. It was bothering me and I thought I tore it. I got a couple of shots in there and it felt good for a little while, but ultimately it was just a matter of time before it stopped moving on me. I tried to push through it to the point where I couldn’t move my arms. I had surgery on December 30. Ever since then, I’ve been rehabbing. I’m dying to get back in the ring and back to work. I have cabin fever.”
Now, seeing Sheamus back in the WWE Performance Center and training with NXT talent is definitely a positive sign. It’s not exactly known when he’ll make his return, but the post makes it look like The Celtic Warrior is putting in the work to get back in fighting shape so that he can have bangers after bangers once again.
