Paige isn’t waiting long to answer Nikki Bella. Just hours after Nikki blamed her for losing at SummerSlam and turning her back on her, Paige fired back with a message of her own—and she made one thing perfectly clear: she’ll be on SmackDown next week.
Taking to Twitter after the August 7 edition of SmackDown, Paige responded directly to Nikki’s accusations and reminded everyone how things really played out at SummerSlam.
“I saved your ass from getting pinned twice at SummerSlam.. I’m also the one who WON those championships. I’ll be back next week. You haven’t seen anything yet babe.”
The post came after Nikki finally explained why she attacked Paige following their loss to Fatal Influence at SummerSlam. During SmackDown, Nikki claimed Paige was responsible for costing them both the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and the SummerSlam match, saying she’d finally had enough.
Paige clearly doesn’t see it that way.Instead of accepting the blame, she pointed to the fact that she prevented Nikki from being pinned twice at SummerSlam and reminded her that she was also the one who originally won the Women’s Tag Team Championships for the team.
With Paige now confirming she’ll be in Boston next week, it looks like Nikki Bella won’t have to wait long for an answer. After everything that happened at SummerSlam and on SmackDown, the former partners appear headed for another confrontation—and this one could get even uglier.
