Shawn Michaels was once someone Dana Hall trusted enough to send after Scott Hall when she believed he needed help. Years later, when Scott’s family and wrestling friends gathered to celebrate his life, Dana says Michaels and Triple H wouldn’t even acknowledge she was there.
Dana made the claims during an appearance on Monte & The Pharaoh while talking about Scott’s addiction struggles and whether members of The Kliq ever tried to help him. She said Kevin Nash was usually the person she contacted, and on one occasion, Nash and Michaels were sent to attempt an intervention. According to Dana, it didn’t exactly work.
“I know Kevin, it was mostly Kevin that I talked to about it. And I know one time, like, I sent him and Shawn on like a little mission when he was, you know, they were going to do an intervention when he was with this girl, you know, but I think they ended up drinking and getting high with him when they got to the girl’s house.”
“So, it was a bust, you know. Like, yeah. It was. I mean, I would always reach out to, like, Marc Mero and just anybody that wasn’t one of his drinking friends, his drugging friends and all that. None of them guys.”
That brought Triple H into the conversation. With WWE having helped send Scott to rehab multiple times, Dana was asked whether Triple H had ever spoken with her about what Scott was going through. Her answer was no. Instead, Dana brought up what happened when she eventually found herself in the same room as Triple H and Michaels at Scott’s celebration of life.
“No. I mean, matter of… at the celebration of life, all the guys were there, as you showed the picture, and Paul and Shawn Michaels didn’t even acknowledge me.”
“They didn’t come up and say one word to me. They completely blew me off, ignored me. They acted like I was invisible.”
That stood out considering the history between all of them. Hall, Triple H and Michaels were part of The Kliq alongside Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman, a friendship that stretched well beyond what fans saw on television.
Hall died in March 2022 at 63 after suffering multiple heart attacks following complications from hip surgery. His celebration of life naturally brought together people from different parts of his personal and wrestling lives.
Dana was one of them. Triple H and Michaels were two others. Yet according to her, they shared the same room without so much as a hello. More than four years later, Dana clearly hasn’t forgotten it. For all the history Triple H and Shawn Michaels shared with Scott Hall, his ex-wife remembers his celebration of life for a much colder reason: they made her feel “invisible.”
