Sammy Guevara just made one tiny social media change—and now AEW fans are wondering if something much bigger is coming.
Sammy removed every AEW reference from his Twitter bio after spending the past year making only scattered appearances on the company’s television shows. Guevara then made sure people noticed the change by posting a two-word message.
“New bio.”
That was all it took for fans to start questioning whether the former TNT Champion could be nearing the end of his AEW run.
Guevara has been with AEW since the company launched in 2019 and was presented as one of its original “Four Pillars” alongside MJF, Darby Allin and Jungle Boy. He went on to win the TNT Championship three times, along with one reign as Interim TNT Champion. Despite that history, Guevara has spent much of his recent run working in Ring of Honor instead of appearing regularly on AEW television.
The social media change also comes after Guevara addressed his lack of television time during an interview with MuscleManMalcolm. He made it clear that Tony Khan decides when he appears, but said he remains ready whenever AEW calls.
Guevara pointed to his match against Darby Allin as an example, claiming he received only a few hours’ notice before competing for the AEW World Championship. Guevara added that he still believes he can deliver whenever he is given the opportunity, regardless of how much preparation time he receives.
Removing AEW from a social media bio does not guarantee Guevara is leaving, but the timing is impossible to ignore. After months of limited television time, Guevara has now given fans another reason to question where he stands with the company.
