Sami Zayn may have left Mexico City with the Undisputed WWE Championship, but the crowd was absolutely not rolling out the red carpet for him.

William Beltrán of Super Luchas sent word that fans inside Arena CDMX were hammering Zayn with boos during his September 11 title match against CM Punk before things got even nastier. At one point, the crowd broke into a loud chant of “Sami, chingas a tu madre,” which translates to “Sami, fuck your mother.” Yeah, they were not hiding how they felt.

The chant came before Zayn pulled off the biggest win of the night, beating Punk to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship for the second time in less than three months. The closing stretch turned into complete chaos, with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae and Kevin Owens all getting involved before Zayn finally put Punk away with a Helluva Kick.

So while Zayn ended the night standing tall with the title, the reaction inside the building told a much different story. Before the belt was around his waist, Mexico City was booing the hell out of him and literally telling him to go screw his mother.

That makes the whole title change even crazier, because WWE crowned Zayn in front of a crowd that clearly wasn’t begging to see it happen.

Do you think the NSFW chant made Sami Zayn’s title win feel even more chaotic, or was the Mexico City crowd telling WWE exactly how they felt about the decision? Let us know what you think in the comments.
