Sabu was set to be inducted into the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame last year but a lot of drama happened and he ended up no-showing the event. With that said, it appears he is finally set to receive the award soon.

The 2024 class of the GCW Indie Hall of Fame included stars like The Briscoes, Trent Acid, and Mercedes Martinez. However, Sabu, one of the most talked-about inductees, was missing from the ceremony. Even though he was supposed to be honored, he did not show up on stage during the event.

Game Changer Wrestling took to Twitter and Sabu will be in Los Angeles this Saturday on March 1st to get his Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame award from Joey Janela, saying, “LA UPDATE – THIS SATURDAY SABU will be in LA to receive his Indie Wrestling HoF award from JOEY JANELA!” Naturally, fans are wondering whether Sabu will actually accept the award this time around.

It is to be noted that Sabu even returned the $300 deposit he had received from GCW. Now, with a second chance to accept his rightful place in indie wrestling history, all eyes will be on Los Angeles this Saturday to see if Sabu finally claims his award.
