RVD might not be a full-time Superstar anymore, but he can still break out his signature singlet whenever he needs to have a match. It appears that Tony Khan is down to have him back if they can make it work.

AEW has seen RVD appear twice in recent memory. He lost to Jack Perry in an FTW Title match, and that was followed by teaming with Hook in another contest. AEW fans would probably like to see him back, and Tony Khan realizes that.

During a media conference to promote WrestleDream, Tony Khan was asked about RDV appearing for AEW. He stated that the WWE Hall of Famer has a case by case basis deal with the company. That being said, the door doesn’t seem to be closed right now.

"RVD was a great part of it, the Michigan fans were very excited to see him, and he got a great reaction from a live arena, and the show did a great rating. I think he's been here on a case-by-case, show-by-show basis. We loved having him, I would certainly be very open to Rob returning in the very near future. As we said when I saw him this past weekend, he's doing a great job, and we'd love to have him back. Great to have Rob here anytime when he's available to do it and anytime it makes sense for everyone."

RVD is a WWE Hall of Famer who draws attention wherever he goes. Tony Khan and AEW could really capitalize on his talents if they want to keep bringing him in. It seems that RVD is willing to make the trip and put on a show whenever he is booked.

Only time will tell if RVD ends up becoming a regular face on AEW television. There could be a lot more matches in his future if Tony Khan wants to pick up the phone.
