Jericho points out that there are certain rules and regulations that need to be followed in the United States and in WWE, so it was very cool for him to travel to Japan where he could bend the rules a bit. He believes that’s the first time in 10 years that he or his opponent has been busted open in the ring, and he admits that it felt great.
He goes on to say that this is a once in a lifetime match that couldn’t happen last year and won’t happen next year. It’s now or never, and he’s excited to be able to make it happen.

Jeremy Borash joins the show to talk about the recent creative changes in Impact Wrestling. Borash mentions that Scott D’Amore and Don Callis both bring unique skill-sets to Impact Wrestling and he’s excited about working with both of them. He doesn’t think this will result in a complete creative reset for the company because that’s been done quite frequently lately. Rather, he thinks D’Amore and Callis will step in and try to keep moving the needle in the right direction.
Borash thinks the key to building a brand in 2017 is carving out a niche. He also points out that Impact has a strong social media presence with over a million subscribers on some platforms. There has been a lot of negativity surrounding the promotion over the last couple of years, but there are still some great things happening in Impact.
