Roman Reigns may have accepted Jacob Fatu’s Tribal Combat challenge on WWE RAW, but the early betting odds are already favoring “The Tribal Chief” in a big way.
The challenge was made during the May 18 episode of RAW after chaos erupted between Jacob Fatu, The Usos and Roman Reigns. Following a brutal beatdown that left Fatu laid out in the ring, the enraged former Bloodline member grabbed a microphone and challenged Reigns to a Tribal Combat match. Roman wasted little time accepting the challenge, immediately raising the stakes for what Michael Cole later suggested would likely happen at WWE Clash in Italy.
Now the first betting odds for the event have been released by BetOnline.ag, and Roman Reigns has opened as a massive -700 favorite to defeat Jacob Fatu, who currently sits at +400. The odds suggest sportsbooks see Reigns as the clear favorite despite Fatu’s growing momentum and increasingly dangerous reputation inside WWE.
BetOnline.ag also released odds for the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Gunther. That matchup is currently listed as even, with both Cody Rhodes and Gunther sitting at -120.
Current WWE Clash in Italy betting odds:
- Tribal Combat Match
Roman Reigns (-700) vs. Jacob Fatu (+400) - Undisputed WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes (-120) vs. Gunther (-120)
The Tribal Combat stipulation immediately adds another layer of danger to the already personal issue between Reigns and Fatu. With no clear limits expected once the bell rings, fans are already anticipating complete chaos whenever the two finally collide.
Even though Roman Reigns is the heavy betting favorite right now, Jacob Fatu has already shown he is capable of creating destruction anytime he appears. That makes the Tribal Combat match one of WWE’s most unpredictable upcoming battles regardless of what sportsbooks are saying early.
Betting odds are always subject to change, especially as more wagers come in and WWE storylines develop closer to the event. Fans who want to place their bets online can do so through BetOnline at this link.
