Roman Reigns isn’t just acting like the bad guy anymore. WWE has the World Heavyweight Champion listed as a heel internally—and after what happened on RAW, that designation makes plenty of sense.
According to False Finish, Reigns is currently listed as a heel behind the scenes in WWE. That comes right after Roman watched his control over The Bloodline start falling apart during the August 17 episode of Monday Night RAW.
Reigns spent the closing segment ordering Jacob Fatu around while dealing with Solo Sikoa. Jacob initially jumped Solo exactly like Roman wanted, but Reigns repeatedly called him off and took control of the situation himself.
Then came The Usos. Roman placed Ula Fala necklaces around Jimmy and Jey, called them his “made men” and celebrated with them while Jacob stood off to the side. Fatu didn’t exactly look like he was enjoying the family moment.
Things only got worse once LA Knight arrived. Roman had The Usos restrain Knight and ordered Solo to attack him. Solo appeared ready to play along before suddenly turning around and drilling Roman with a Samoan Spike.
Knight joined the fight and eventually blocked Roman’s Superman Punch before dropping him with the BFT. Jacob watched the whole thing happen. He never stepped in to save Roman or The Usos, and footage from after RAW showed him eventually leaving the ring by himself while Roman regrouped with Jimmy and Jey.
Now Roman’s reported internal listing gives all of that a little more clarity. WWE apparently isn’t presenting this as the Tribal Chief simply getting a little too controlling while trying to keep his family together. Roman is the heel—and his own family is starting to look increasingly tired of dealing with him.
One night after Solo spiked him and Jacob walked away, Roman’s place in this story apparently isn’t much of a mystery anymore.
