The first-ever Mr. NXT pageant now has its judges.
NXT General Manager Robert Stone announced that EVOLVE Champion Aaron Rourke, SmackDown’s Kit Wilson, and comedian Matt Mathews will judge the contest between Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels. Stone made the announcement in a video from his home office, saying he was working on a Saturday night to lock everything in for Tuesday’s show.
“I am in my home office working on a Saturday night, and I just signed, sealed, and this Tuesday, I’m going to deliver because we all know it’s the first ever Mr. NXT beauty pageant between Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels.”
Stone said he wanted the right panel to judge the pageant fairly, so he picked three very different names for the job.
“And I had to get the perfect judges to call this thing right down the middle. Judge number one, EVOLVE Champion Aaron Rourke. Judge number two from SmackDown, Kit Wilson. And judge number three. I had to think outside of the box on this one. One of my favorite comedians, Matt Mathews, is gonna be in the house.”
The Mr. NXT pageant will take place on the June 9 episode of WWE NXT. Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels will compete in three categories: attire, talent, and public speaking.
The updated lineup for WWE NXT on June 9 includes:
- NXT Women’s North American Championship: Tatum Paxley vs. ZARIA
- Winner challenges for NXT Women’s Championship: Kelani Jordan vs. Kendal Grey
- Mr. NXT Pageant: Shiloh Hill vs. Tristan Angels
- Winner challenges for NXT Championship: Mason Rook vs. NARAKU
The Mr. NXT pageant is already one of the stranger segments WWE has lined up this week, and now it has a full judging panel to make things even more interesting.
