Robert Stone addressed the chaos surrounding Wren Sinclair’s battle royal win after the WWE NXT episode on October 6, 2026, after NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan demanded answers over how Sinclair was even allowed to compete. Sinclair had disguised herself as AAA’s Lady Shani before eliminating Kali Armstrong to become the new No. 1 contender.

Jordan took to Twitter after the show and made it clear she was not happy with what happened.

“UHM EXCUSE ME @MrStoneWWE WHAT THE HELL SHE SHOULDN’T EVEN BE HERE 😡”

Stone then responded directly to Jordan and admitted the situation needs to be sorted out.

“I agree. I do apologize for this Kelani. This is a situation I need to figure out. Stay tuned.”

That response makes it clear WWE is not just moving past what happened. Sinclair was supposed to be suspended, yet somehow still managed to enter the battle royal under a disguise and walk away with a title opportunity.

Now Stone has publicly acknowledged the problem and says he needs to figure out what happens next. That leaves Sinclair’s No. 1 contender status very much in question heading into next week’s NXT.
