Wren Sinclair pulled off one of the wildest stunts of the night during the WWE NXT episode on October 6, 2026, sneaking into the NXT Women’s Championship No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal despite being suspended. Sinclair disguised herself as AAA star Lady Shani, waited until the perfect moment, and then completely changed the ending.

The 20-woman battle royal was chaos from the start, with talent from NXT, TNA, AAA and EVOLVE all fighting for a future shot at Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s Championship. ZARIA, Izzi Dame, Indi Hartwell, Xia Brookside, La Catalina, Kali Armstrong and Kiana James were among the names still making noise deep into the match.

Things eventually came down to La Catalina, Kiana James, Kali Armstrong and Lizzy Rain. Armstrong eliminated Catalina and later knocked James off the apron, putting herself in position to seemingly win the entire thing.

That is when “Lady Shani” suddenly reappeared and dumped Armstrong over the top rope from behind. Then came the real surprise.

Lady Shani removed her mask and revealed herself to actually be Wren Sinclair, who was supposed to be suspended from NXT. Sinclair had apparently taken Shani’s place and entered the match under her identity just to steal the win.

That means Wren Sinclair walked away as the new No. 1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship after crashing the match in disguise and eliminating Armstrong at the very end. Wren Sinclair found one hell of a loophole to get around her suspension, and now she has put herself directly in the NXT Women’s Championship picture.
