RVD definitely excited fans with his appearances on WWE TV, especially during the special show at the ECW Arena last year. While he hasn’t wrestled in a while, RVD has now revealed that he is open to managing an NXT star.
While speaking on B4 The Bell, RVD mentioned that if he had the opportunity to be a manager, he would choose to manage Kelani Jordan. He recalled a memorable backstage vignette they did together on the November 6 episode of NXT at the legendary 2300 Arena.
RVD felt that not many people saw how cool the moment was, as they both did the splits across chairs while facing each other. Based on that experience, he revealed his interest in being her manager.
“I’m just going to throw this out there because it popped into my head—Kelani Jordan. I’m on board. We did a really cool little backstage vignette in November or December when I was at NXT for a second. I don’t think many people saw how cool it was. We both did the splits across the chairs, facing each other. So that’s my answer—I’ll be her manager.”
During the NXT ECW tribute episode, RVD had a short interaction with Kelani Jordan before being attacked by Wes Lee. Despite his injury, RVD remained involved in the storyline. He later helped Je’Von Evans pick up a win over Wes Lee in a match, making it clear he was planting seeds for a future appearance since he was clearly not done with Wes Lee.
Since RVD is open to a managerial role, it will be interesting to see if WWE brings him back in an official capacity in the future. If that happens, his partnership with Kelani Jordan could bring a new dynamic to NXT, so fans are waiting to see if it will become a reality one day.
