Ric Flair may have missed Bret Hart’s big night because of blood clots in his legs, but apparently that isn’t keeping him off the road for long. Just one day later, The Nature Boy says he’s already at the airport and heading to Philadelphia for his next scheduled appearance.

Flair took to Twitter on August 28 and uploaded a video after apparently hearing that people believed he would also miss his upcoming appearance for Dynasty Sports. Accordin g to Flair, that isn’t happening. Flair then directly addressed the blood clots that prevented him from traveling to Las Vegas

“This is the Nature Boy, Ric Flair, and the word is out I might not be at Philadelphia. That is totally incorrect. I’m at the airport now on my way. A little blood clot won’t keep me from coming into Philly. Dynasty Sports, one o’clock. The Nature will be there, live and in color.”

That’s a pretty quick turnaround considering what Flair revealed only a day earlier. Flair had been scheduled to attend the Cauliflower Alley Club event in Las Vegas on August 27, where Bret Hart received the Iron Mike Mazurki Award. Flair couldn’t make the trip in person, with Jerry “The King” Lawler stepping in for him at the event. Flair still appeared through Zoom on the venue’s massive screen and finally explained what had kept him away.

“I have blood clots in my legs, so I can’t travel the five- or six-hour trip that it takes to get there and then turn around and go right to Philadelphia.”

At the time, Flair made it sound like doing Las Vegas and then immediately traveling to Philadelphia was simply too much with his condition. Apparently, cutting out the first half of that trip made a pretty big difference.

There still aren’t any additional details about how long Flair has been dealing with the blood clots or what treatment he is receiving. His latest video also doesn’t mean the issue has disappeared—Flair himself made it clear that he still has a blood clot.

However, anyone expecting The Nature Boy to cancel Philadelphia can apparently forget about it. One day after blood clots kept him away from Las Vegas, Flair says he’s already at the airport and plans to be there “live and in color.”

What do you make of Ric Flair continuing with his Philadelphia appearance despite dealing with blood clots? Let us know in the comments.
