Rhea Ripley just turned a phone case into a high-priced collector’s item.
An iPhone 17 Max Pro case owned by the WWE Women’s Champion sold for an eye-opening $6,320 during an auction hosted by Ripley and her husband, Buddy Matthews. The winning bidder was identified as “emilybec28702.”
The sale immediately caught attention among wrestling fans because of the unusual item attached to such a large price tag. Wrestling memorabilia has always been a huge business, but shelling out more than six thousand dollars for a phone case shows just how valuable Ripley-related collectibles have become during her current WWE run.
Ripley has grown into one of WWE’s most recognizable stars over the last several years, with her “Mami” persona helping turn her into a merchandise powerhouse both inside and outside the wrestling world. That popularity clearly translated directly into the auction result.
The sale also continues a recent trend of wrestling memorabilia bringing in massive money from collectors. Earlier this year, Hulk Hogan memorabilia generated headlines after his Royal Rumble 1990 boots sold for $146,803, while another pair connected to WrestleMania 1 crossed the $1 million mark.
While Ripley’s phone case obviously sits in a much different category than historic ring-worn gear, the final number still says plenty about her current value and fan demand.
