Rey Mysterio just got suspended from AAA, but that’s not even the craziest part. The WWE Hall of Famer was accused of sleeping with Dorian Roldán’s mother, Marisela Peña, during what was supposed to be her AAA Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
The shocking moment aired during the November 7 episode of AAA, which was taped on October 24 in Mexico City. Mysterio was there to induct Peña into the Hall of Fame, and everything seemed to be going smoothly until her son, Dorian Roldán, decided to crash the celebration.
Mysterio had just finished praising Peña for everything she’s done for AAA and for keeping her brother Antonio Peña’s legacy alive. However, when she stepped up to give her speech, Roldán interrupted with some serious accusations against Rey.
Roldán claimed Mysterio had been abusing his authority as AAA General Manager and putting wrestlers in dangerous situations. He blamed Rey for injuries suffered by El Hijo del Vikingo and Mini Vikingo and also brought up his attack on Omos at Ola de Calor.
He wasn’t finished. Roldán also accused Mysterio of overstepping his authority by getting involved in championship matches, including serving as a referee at TripleMania 34. After listing the accusations, Roldán announced that Mysterio had been suspended indefinitely as AAA General Manager. He claimed the decision came from someone with higher authority.
But then things got really personal. Roldán questioned why his mother had chosen Mysterio to become General Manager instead of him back in May. He then claimed to have proof that Rey was having an affair with Peña, going as far as accusing the WWE legend of sleeping with his mother.
Yes, that really happened on AAA television. The accusation was part of AAA’s ongoing storyline, not a confirmed claim about Mysterio’s personal life. Still, it was quite a way to end what was supposed to be a celebration of Peña’s career. Roldán walked out after making the accusation, and the show ended with Mysterio suspended and the family drama taking center stage.
AAA has now turned a dispute over Mysterio’s General Manager position into a full-blown personal feud. With Roldán accusing Rey of sleeping with his mother and getting him suspended, there’s no telling how much crazier this storyline could get.
