Reina Volcan wasn’t kidding when she said she was getting ready for the “Volcán Era.” After disappearing from television for weeks, Volcan made her return during WWE NXT for September 22, 2026 and immediately made her presence felt by wrecking both Kali Armstrong and Skylar Raye.
The surprise went down during Armstrong’s singles match against WWE LFG season two winner Skylar Raye. The two were battling back and forth when Armstrong went for the Kali Connection but accidentally wiped out the referee, creating the perfect opening for Volcan to make her move.
Volcan suddenly hit the ring and went straight after Raye, taking her out before turning her attention to Armstrong. She then planted Armstrong with a powerslam, leaving both women laid out and completely changing the direction of the match.
Raye ultimately benefited from all the chaos. She fell into the cover on Armstrong after Volcan’s attack and picked up the three-count, giving her the victory despite Volcan being responsible for the damage that put Armstrong down.
The return comes after Volcan addressed her lengthy television absence earlier this month. She acknowledged that she had been “MIA” but made it clear she hadn’t stopped working behind the scenes.
“Been MIA but just know I’m still grinding. I’ll be getting back to your comments and messages this weekend. If you’re wondering, im getting ready for the Volcán Era 😎 are you?”
Volcan hadn’t appeared on NXT television since her July 21 debut, when she defeated Skylar Raye in roughly three minutes. She continued working NXT live events during her television absence, but there was no indication of exactly when WWE planned to bring her back.
Now we have the answer. Volcan didn’t simply return for another match — she stormed into Armstrong and Raye’s business, attacked both women and directly influenced the outcome.
After weeks of waiting, the “Volcán Era” appears to have officially started, and Reina Volcan wasted absolutely no time creating enemies upon her return to NXT television.
