Rebel’s health battle has taken a devastating turn, as she has just revealed she has been diagnosed with terminal ALS.
After weeks of documenting the physical and emotional toll of rehab, Rebel returned to Instagram on May 1, 2026 with news that changes everything. She revealed that doctors have now diagnosed her with terminal ALS, finally giving a name to what she’s been battling behind the scenes.
“The doctors have diagnosed me with terminal ALS. There is not a lot of research behind ALS, and we don’t know how long I have. But it explains why I have trouble walking and talking, and all my functions will soon decline.”
That diagnosis provides clarity, but it also brings a harsh reality. Rebel has been openly struggling with mobility and speech issues, along with intense rehab sessions that left her unable to perform even basic movements. Now, those symptoms have a confirmed cause, and the outlook is far more serious than anyone expected. Despite that, she made it clear she’s focused on what comes next—both in terms of preparation and gratitude.
“Now we can prepare for the future and what is to come. And I want to say thank you to Tony—I want to say thank you to Tony Khan and AEW for supporting me on my medical journey. It has been a blessing—it is unheard of. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
She also acknowledged the support she’s received throughout this process, making it clear how much it’s meant during such a difficult time: “And thank you to all of you through your prayers—please continue to pray.”
This, unfortunately, changes everything. What had been an ongoing struggle with unexplained symptoms is now a confirmed diagnosis with long-term implications, and Rebel is facing it head-on while continuing to share her journey publicly. For now, the focus is on support, preparation, and what comes next as she faces this new reality.
Do you think Rebel’s openness about her condition will help raise more awareness around ALS, or should she take time away from the public eye during this? Let us know your thoughts and feedback.
